Coffee Hour: Colombia: Finding Peace in Times of Conflict

Colombia, situated in the northern Andes, is a country rich in biological and cultural diversity. But Colombia also has a long history of war and conflict- every day Colombians live in fear of the ongoing violence perpetuated by armed actors- paramilitaries, guerrillas, and the state. Such violence affects both the physical and mental health of Colombians.

In May, Robyn Skrebes traveled with a delegation from Witness for Peace- Upper Midwest to learn about the ways that Colombians are coping with the health impacts from the ongoing violence. In this RCTA Coffee Hour, Robyn will be talking about the conflict in Colombia and sharing information gathered during the trip.
